Hello and welcome to the Jurassic Fusion Group website. Associated with the South Dorset Repeater Group
Located in the heart of the UNESCO World Heritage 95-mile long Dorset and Devon Coast. It stretches from Swanage in Dorset to Exmouth in Devon.
The Jurassic Fusion room currently has two regular repeaters connected, GB3JG WiresX 06641 Westham, Weymouth and GB3DR WiresX 79172 on the Isle of Portland.
GB3JG (06641) is now located at Westham, Weymouth, Dorset. The repeater has a colinear antenna some 20m above sea level with reasonable take off East and West. North is shielded by the Ridgeway Hills and South by the high ground of Portland. Although it has a compromised location it covers Weymouth Town Centre the beach and Bay, Preston and all along the coast to Lulworth Cove and Chapmans Pool very well.

The repeater is a Yaesu DR1X with a PG103+ pre-amp and is licenced for Analogue voice narrow 12.5kHz CTCSS 71.9Hz and Yaesu Fusion C4FM on the 70cm band (DVU62) Output: 439.775 Mhz Input: 430.775 Mhz (14dBw) 25 Watts ERP.

GB3DR (79172) is located on the top of Portland near Yeates roundabout. The repeater has a colinear antenna at around 150m ASL . Its has a clear take off from North to West to South and to East along the Jurassic coast. The repeater is shielded to the North East by the higher ground at the Verne so does not cover the Bournemouth Christchurch Poole area or the Jurassic coast at Durlston Head or Swanage. The repeater is a Yaesu DR2X and is licenced for Analogue voice narrow 12.5kHz CTCSS 71.9Hz and Yaesu Fusion C4FM on the 2m band (RV59) Output: 145.7375 Mhz Input: 145.1375 Mhz (10.5dBw) 11.2 Watts ERP.

Jurassic Fusion welcomes any other repeaters near the coast line of Dorset and Devon to connect or default to our room number 06641. No need ask, we welcome any like minded repeater keepers who want to add to the Jurassic Fusion network.
Latest News: We have opened a Jurassic Fusion YSF Room the same room number as the WiresX room 06641, its not in anyway bridged to WiresX as we want to preserve the reliability of the Yaesu Fusion WiresX system. It has a regular net on every morning around 8.30am to 9am. Why not connect and call in via your hotspot or you can join using Peanut By David PA7LIM on an Android phone or Windows PC. Look for Room YSF-JFUS under the GB category.
We are glad you’ve stopped by and hope to hear you on the air soon.
